DEEEP POOOLS

The moon is forever falling in towards earth and yet simultaneously its own trajectory is taking it somewhere else. Between the two a beautiful compromise is reached – a celestial orbit which has provided us with the ocean waves and an incurable obsession. 

It is sometimes difficult to conceive that these opposing forces created such stability. From a state of flux we have an elegant form of architecture which is always in transition. Then it becomes apparent that a particle is a wave, an arrival changes to a departure, a boy may be a girl, a pattern masks a code, and between the conscious and subconscious we rise and fall.

There is something about our days, which weave themselves within this fragile just-in-time nature of our lives: the rhythms which rhyme, shimmer, oscillate, repeat, mutate, delay, fail. Perhaps minutes are leaves and the hours are trees.

In the spring of an event blossoms negentropy, when everything seems to click into place, flows and flourishes in an almost effortless, unstoppable way, before the autumn of entropy arrives. And even though we may not be able to put our finger on this synchronicity, we can certainly feel it.
