When Gleams-a-Glow

When gleams-a-glow,
blushes a spring soffit, 
in lazy dawn,
early blossom sheep, 
graze over a dozing northern, 
nuzzled low above tender roofs, 
but shimmer in dew and steam brew,
as passengers percolate from chattering kettles, 
so fine a day rides from a fresh fettle
